Airport Commission approves fence plan, advances environmental review

GARDNER — Airport Commission unanimously approves fence plan for Gales Associates environmental project. The revised plan, reoriented to avoid a dirt road and glider setup area, now moves to the Massachusetts Historical Commission as part of a Categorical Exclusion assessment. Manager Isabel Davis reported February fuel sales of 72 gallons at $404.90 against a $12,000 annual budget.
The Commission advanced an avigation easement acquisition project after Mayor Nicholson confirmed local funding support and the FAA approved Airport Improvement Program eligibility February 3. A vote for Commission Chairman resulted in a two-to-two tie between Al Cosentino and James Wood.
