Gardner Board of Health fills four staffing positions during March meeting. The department promoted Brian Harris to Transfer Station Supervisor and hired Elliot Gould as Transfer Station Attendant, Jen Barnes as Administrative Assistant, and Beth Bettez as Administrative Co-Ordinator. Board Chair Emma Chaitin was reelected to continue in her role, with the Vice-Chair position deferred until April.

The board noted ongoing leachate pump repairs at the municipal landfill and three septic system non-compliance letters issued to property owners. The Health Department is planning spring health fairs and submitted a Rural Development Program grant on Feb. 13.
