Board of Health formalizes response to Open Meeting Law complaint

Gardner Board of Health responds to Open Meeting Law complaint on executive session hiring interviews. The Board unanimously adopted the City Solicitor's advisory letter as its official response to a December 2025 complaint regarding executive sessions held November 12 and 19. Interim Chairperson Emma Chaitin, Member Dr.
Michele Parker, Member Geoff Tobia, Esq., and Agent Angela DiPrima voted to direct preparation and release of the contested executive session minutes with legal redactions and to send the vote, complaint, and advisory to the Attorney General's Division of Open Government. The Board will work with HR and the Solicitor to define a compliant hiring interview process for future positions.
