Gardner City Council confirmed Paulette Burns to the Board of Assessors for a three-year term expiring August 21, 2028. The Appointments Committee unanimously recommended Burns, a lifelong Gardner resident with more than a decade of assessor experience, citing her fair administration of property valuations. The Council also received the resignation of City Clerk Ti Siriphan, effective July 2, and established a Special Search Committee chaired by President George Tyros to recruit her successor.
The Finance Committee reported that the LifeLine Services program, run by the Senior Center, added 14 new subscribers since April 2025 and serves 69 accounts, with 16 in Gardner and the remainder in surrounding communities, and is projected to end the fiscal year with a surplus.
