Gardner search committee continues job description work. Council President George Tyros and Councillors Elizabeth Kazinskas and Judy Mack discussed modernizing the City Clerk and Assistant City Clerk job descriptions, both from 2015, with Human Resources Director Amanda Morse and Assistant City Clerk Jayen Kumar. The committee agreed to relax fixed staffing language, remove outdated equipment references, add notary and municipal clerk certification requirements, and clarify the City Clerk's campaign finance and records management duties.
The committee will resume revisions at an 8:00 a.m. meeting Tuesday, May 12, 2026, with potential advertising of positions to begin prior to final approval.
