Commission approves carport, pursues stream violations

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 13, 2026

GARDNER — Commission approves carport with conditions, pursues enforcement violations. The Gardner Conservation Commission unanimously granted a Negative 3 Determination for a carport at 31 Travers Street filed by Robert Rudd, located 58 feet from an adjacent brook within a Bordering Vegetated Wetland buffer zone, with conditions requiring graded base substrate and erosion controls. Two enforcement orders advanced: site alterations at 86 Linwood Street by homeowner Brian Duffy (continued to June 9) and tree removal at 9 Crawford Street (Burger King property, continued to June 9), with the Burger King case directing contractor Timber Pros and a wetlands specialist to present remediation plans.

The Sludge Landfill Enforcement Order was continued to August 3 for revised reporting.
