Gardner Conservation Commission extends Sludge Landfill enforcement and advances Walmart fuel station review. The commission unanimously voted to continue its enforcement order for the Sludge Landfill to March 9 after resident Alan Rousseau raised concerns about snow storage capacity and potential washout risks, with Conservation Agent Justin Enright directed to follow up with public works on maintenance. The commission also unanimously voted to continue its hearing on a Walmart fuel station and convenience store at 677 Timpany Boulevard to February 23 after engineers from Bohler, LLC presented updated stormwater treatment details, revised site plans, and fail-safe procedures for an eight-pump fuel station within wetlands buffer zones.
The commission authorized up to $800 for member attendance at the MACC Annual Conference on February 28.
