Council approves nine motor vehicle dealer licenses

Gardner City Council approves nine motor vehicle dealer licenses. The council unanimously granted Class I, II, and III dealer licenses to nine businesses, including Salvadore Chevrolet at multiple locations, Blake Motors, JPJ Automotive LLC, Brian's Auto Sales, and Osagi Enterprise LLC. Mayor Michael Nicholson reported on December implementation of the new non-union compensation schedule with retroactive July 1 adjustments and plans to submit amendments for pay-scale corrections, added department heads, and a June 1 effective date for lifeguard pay increases.
The council also held a public hearing on a National Grid proposal to relocate High Street utility poles for new construction clearance.
