GARDNER — Council on Aging approves treasurer report showing $12,000 combined deficit. The General Fund faces energy and utilities overages of $5,500 and repairs and maintenance deficits totaling $7,277, requiring a likely supplemental appropriation from the Mayor and City Council. The Gift Fund balance stands at $99,343.91 with $25,000 earmarked for painting, while the Revolving Fund maintains $45,570.67.
Director Michael Ellis reported the Lifeline Program, serving nearly 100 subscribers, is expected to generate a surplus by year end despite projected encumbrances through June 30. The Council approved the treasurer's report unanimously.
