Council on Aging approves treasurer's report; facility repairs advance.

GARDNER — Council on Aging approves treasurer's report for February. The board unanimously accepted the Finance Report as of February 28, 2026, showing the General Fund at 58.3 percent of fiscal year with several salary and overtime line items exceeding projections and a likely supplemental appropriation required. The Gift Fund balance stands at $99,243.91 with $25,000 earmarked for a Waterford Street facility painting project, while the newly established Lifeline Fund has generated $4,248.34 in revenue since January.

Director Michael Ellis reported that emergency boiler repairs and exit work have been completed, tax assistance slots filled to capacity in two weeks, and a textile recycling program collected 12,600 pounds in the prior year.
