Select Board · Meeting of September 22, 2026

GARDNER — The Gardner City Council voted 10-0 to reject a proposed winter overnight parking ban. Councilor David Tebow Munoz argued the ban would disproportionately burden renters, elderly residents and low-income families, asking "who bears the burden of this change?" Councilor Mack said she opposed the measure partly because "there was absolutely no public input," while Councilor Brooks challenged residents to move their cars during storms regardless of policy, saying "I don't want to hear it." Separately, the council voted 10-0 to amend and advance a financial transparency ordinance requiring monthly auditor reports to the Finance Committee, voted 9-0 with one abstention to send a Golf Administrative Assistant pay ordinance to first printing, and approved a 10-0 transfer of leftover DPW salt shed funds into the city's stabilization account.
