GARDNER — Facilities Sub-Committee backed lighting and sound system funding for Gardner High School auditorium. Chair Robert J. Swartz, members John LaFreniere and Paul Cormier voted to use Homeless Emergency Revolving Funds and School Choice revolving funds, with a planned Williams-Rockwell grant application to offset costs.
The committee reviewed ongoing district facility projects, including water-filtration system installation across schools and roof repairs at the Middle and Elementary schools scheduled for September and November 2026. The committee raised concerns about persistent damage to middle and elementary school buildings from careless markings that have remained unaddressed for more than a year.
