Gardner schools declare 39 items of electronic and computer equipment surplus. The Facilities Sub-Committee unanimously voted to send the surplus list to the School Committee for official disposal action, with Chairman Robert J. Swartz and members John LaFrenniere and Paul Cormier present.

The committee reviewed 231 maintenance work orders submitted between February 2 and March 27, with Elementary School leading at 79 requests, followed by Gardner High School with 62 and Middle School with 56. Maintenance Director Wayne Anderson confirmed that Elm Street School, the district's oldest building with a steam heating system, requires the water to be drained at least three times weekly to prevent boiler failure.
