GARDNER — Facility Sub-Committee approves district maintenance and capital projects. Chairman Robert J. Swartz and member John LaFrenniere reviewed updates from Wayne Anderson on work across Gardner's four main schools, including a $100,000 high school elevator repair chosen over a $1 million full replacement.
Other approved spending includes $80,000 for flood repairs to bathrooms and boiler, $50,000 for corroded grease trap replacement, and $25,000 for middle school sprinkler head work. Superintendent Mark Pelligrino announced GALT program relocation to the high school, pending renovation funding for two former Gardner Educational Television rooms.
