GARDNER — Finance subcommittee voted to complete Gardner High School auditorium renovation. Superintendent Dr. Mark Pellegrino and Facilities Director Wayne Anderson outlined the project to the Finance Sub-Committee, which approved Phase III using Homeless Emergency Revolving funds and School Choice account dollars, with plans to seek Williams-Rockwell grant funding.
The auditorium's original sound system failed 13 years ago and was replaced with a portable system with failing speakers; the facility operates with six obsolete incandescent lights on an extension cord and no permanent projector. Prior phases completed seat refurbishment, HVAC upgrades, ceiling repairs, and electrical work.
