Greenwood Pool demolition nears completion, pavilion bid opens

Gardner Community Development Steering Committee advances pavilion bid and downtown improvements. The committee heard updates from Director Jason Stevens and Assistant Director Amy Yuhasz on multiple CDBG initiatives. Greenwood Pool demolition is nearing completion requiring a drainage-work change order; the pavilion project is out for bid opening June 4 with lighting and sidewalk alternates.

Mayor Michael J. Nicholson announced the city's Phase 7 downtown improvements received Congressional funding of $550,000, cut from a $1.2 million request, pending full House and Senate approval. Four of five FY2025 public social service projects have fully executed grant agreements and are moving forward.
