Gardner Retirement Board approves $666,185 FY27 operating budget with 8 percent increase. Chairperson Denise Merriam led the board's unanimous approval of the budget, which reflects $49,425 in added expenses including prior-year Pension Group Technology coverage and increased staff salaries and professional services. The board also unanimously approved a warrant totaling $865,163.47 for pension and annuity payments and member transfers.
Board Member Karen Butler was approved to purchase back two years and two months of creditable service from the Massachusetts State Board of Retirement at a cost of $20,516.59, valid through August 31, 2026.
