School Subcommittees · Meeting of September 16, 2026
Gardner schools advanced four policies toward October adoption. The Policy Subcommittee voted unanimously on September 16 to send four policies to the October School Committee for first reading, including a new law enforcement interaction policy mandated by the Protect Act signed by Governor Healey on August 5, 2026. Policies on electronic committee member messaging, technology security, and data retention also advanced with format corrections.
The subcommittee, chaired by Anne Hurst with members Rachel Cormier and Paul Cormier, tabled two policies for further review and deemed two others redundant to existing regulations.
